Project Manager - Development
PlusNet plc are currently recruiting for a Project Manager in their Development department.
The key roles and responsibilities are as follows:
To coordinate teams of varying sizes assembled from multiple technical and non-technical teams, both remotely and locally, with a wide variety of skills, in order to ensure that projects meet agreed timescales, budgetary requirements and are of the requisite quality to meet specific business needs.
To manage the Business Analysts with regards to requirements capture and integration issues, and for documentation delivery purposes.
To ensure good communications are maintained with the project team(s) and relevant project owners and other stakeholders at timely points in the lifetime of projects.
To work with other Development and company Project Managers to understand overall project interdependencies, impacts, risks and agree suitable actions to resolve issues where necessary.
Management of third parties where necessary.
Management of risks and issues and escalation to Line Manager and/or Business Sponsor as appropriate.
Ensuring that resources required to work on your projects are communicated to the relevant Development Team Manager in order to maintain the departments Capacity Management Schedule.
Ensuring that all projects identified for delivery have overall project plans, and are reflected in the capacity planning documents, PIT and into immediate schedules.
Ensuring that all projects follow the companys agreed project management lifecycle.
Managing gain and slippage on individual projects, including the impact on other projects and employing the appropriate management and escalation procedures to minimise risks.
To maintain, attend, chair and create workshops and meetings to promote inter-team communications related to the timely and efficient progression of projects.
To provide formal reporting on project status and KPIs on a weekly basis, and at any other juncture that is deemed appropriate.
Ensuring visibility of work in progress at all times through Workplace.

Essential Skills:
Experience of working in a Project Management role, managing teams of at least 10 people.
Experience of managing remote software development teams.
Project experience covering Network and IT software design, build, testing and implementation.
Must thrive on working in a fast-paced, reactive environment and be agile in response to such change.
Experience of formal project management methodologies, such as Prince 2, RUP and DSDM but sufficiently pragmatic and confident to know when to apply the appropriate methodology to deliver what the business needs, when it needs it.
An understanding of technical and functional documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the business.
Excellent planning skills, change control and risk assessment experience.
Has developed coaching and mentoring skills.
Cross-functional and inter-disciplinary awareness.
Flexible to travel.
