We know moving can be stressful, but moving your Broadband and Home Phone doesn't need to be. We'll arrange everything for you, so you'll be up and running at your new address in no time.

Our home move team will transfer your Plusnet services to your new address. It's best to give us 2-3 weeks' notice, the sooner you let us know the better.

Arranging your move is simple

Just call us and let us know:

  • Your Plusnet username
  • Your new address
  • The date of your move

Then relax and leave the rest to us. We'll keep you regularly updated about the progress of your move.

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take to setup broadband at my new property?Hide Detail

If you've let us know about your move in 2-3 weeks in advance your broadband service should be ready the day you move in to your new property. If you've not let us know in advance, then so long as you have a working phone line, broadband will take up to 5 working days to be activated at your new property.

How fast will broadband be at my new property?Hide Detail

We'll be happy to give you a speed estimate for your new property, just give us a call.

Can I take my telephone number with me?Hide Detail

Only if your new property is connected to the same telephone exchange as your previous property. If you're unsure, please give us a call.

What will I need to get connected in my new property?Hide Detail

This depends on what product you have but we recommend using the hardware that we originally supplied e.g. router, cables and microfilters for more information see our support pages.

Will moving affect my monthly bill?Hide Detail

It depends on your broadband package and where you're moving to. To find out if your bill will be affected, give us a call.

Will moving to or from a fibre broadband enabled area affect me?Hide Detail

This depends on what product you have and where you're moving to. We'll be able to advise you, just give us a call or for more information see our support pages.

Can I move my Plusnet services if my new property has cable?Hide Detail

In most cases, yes. (Although we don't supply broadband in Hull). You'll need a telephone line at your new property before we can move your broadband. We can order one for you, if you'd like to take a phone package with us. Just give us a call and we'll arrange everything for you.
