PlusNet launches Broadband Your Way to put customers in control
~ next generation of broadband services tailored to meet user demands ~
PlusNets new internet offering, Broadband Your Way, hits the UK market today.
Available on a monthly contract, Broadband Your Way is designed to offer a range of options to suit individual users according to their usage patterns and types. It can be tailored according to price, usage allowance, traffic priority and hardware requirements.
The four core options within Broadband Your Way are priced at £9.99, £14.99, £19.99 and £29.99 a month with usage allowances set at 1GB, 8GB, 20GB and 40GB a month respectively. This covers access between 8am and midnight with additional usage priced on a Pay As You Go (PAYG) basis at 75p pre-pay or £1 post-pay per GB.
However, Broadband Your Way also offers free overnight usage so customers can schedule large software, music and video downloads without using their allowance.
A free wireless router is available to customers signing up to the £19.99 and £29.99 options whilst those selecting the £9.99 and £14.99 services will receive a free wired router. Hardware is free provided customers stay with PlusNet for 12 months.
The company, which has built its customer base on recommendation by its customers, will also continue to offer the same referral system as before. PlusNet customers can recommend the service to friends, family or colleagues and for everyone that takes Broadband Your Way the original customer will receive between 25p and 50p a month (depending on the option selected).
One of the biggest bugbears for broadband users in the UK is confusion about what theyre actually getting for their money, said Neil Armstrong, products director at PlusNet. Price is what often drives the purchasing decision but consumers must understand that there is no such thing as free broadband.
What we need in the UK is a more transparent approach to broadband services and Broadband Your Way has been designed with this in mind, he added. By looking at the various options, our customers can create a broadband experience to suit their individual needs whether its gaming, emailing, streaming or downloading.
