Plusnet expands Mac support

Sheffield-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) Plusnet has introduced a raft of new measures to provide better support to its Mac-based customers.
The company has trained its entire customer support staff, who are available round the clock at its UK-based call centre, to focus on Mac-based queries as well as traditional PC problems. The team of 80, many of whom are Mac users themselves, is now equipped to cover key areas such as initial hardware installation, email setup and browser configuration.
Plusnet has also expanded the range of information available on its website, providing in-depth advice across a number of areas such as an Apple Mac setup guide and detailed information on configuring both Mac Mail and broadband phone applications - View Mac Support
In addition, the company has worked to ensure the hardware it offers customers is Mac-compatible to avoid connectivity problems commonplace with many ISPs.
Plusnet Mac users can now expect the same level of service and information as their PC counterparts, said Neil Armstrong, Products Director, Plusnet. We use Macs in many areas of our business so we fully recognise the importance of providing the right level of support to this growing platform.
Armstrong continued: The popularity of the Mac is growing rapidly with Apple actively promoting the Mac vs PC concept. We know that there is a place for both technologies and we will readily support customers with either system.
