PlusNet plc set to take Pole position
~ unveils internet offering to support UK Polish community ~
PlusNet plc has created the first tailored broadband service for the UKs Polish residents.
The Polish edition of PlusNets website mirrors PlusNets English-language offering. It provides a range of broadband products to suit individuals according to their usage patterns and types all communicated in the Polish language.
PlusNets broadband is ideally suited to the demands of Polish residents in the UK. In addition to common activities like web browsing and email, PlusNets intelligent traffic prioritisation is ideal for time-sensitive applications such as Skype, VoIP and webcams as well as Gadu-Gadu, the popular chat software from Poland.
Customers will be able to read about and choose products via Polish language pages on PlusNets site. The pages provide information about products and services, terms and conditions, and enable users to register their interest - http://www.plus.net/pl/
PlusNet has set up a dedicated helpline for Polish-speaking customers and recruited native speakers who will be on hand at its Sheffield-based call centre. There is also a Polish forum on its community site for customers to discuss issues or swap ideas and information.
With the Polish community in the UK now numbering more than 750,000 people two per cent of the global Polish population were addressing their needs in a way that makes sense for them, said Neil Armstrong, products director at PlusNet. We have had a strong Polish contingent working within PlusNet for over two years which has enabled us to launch a service that focuses on the communitys needs, in their native language of course
As an online company were able to act glocal setting up a global service that can be specifically tailored to meet local needs, he added. All of our customers receive the same service and prices, so were simply tailoring our message for a different community. Subject to demand, wed like to see further languages coming online in the future.
