Gaming gurus unite at LAN party
~ PlusNet sponsor gaming tournament ~
More than three hundred gamers are set to battle it out at a large LAN gaming event, sponsored by Sheffield-based ISP, PlusNet. Cash prizes totalling over £3,000 plus other goodies will be awarded to the winners of the tournaments, which are taking place at the event organised by the South Yorkshire gaming group, Sychosis. The event will be held at Doncaster Dome, (Bawtry Road, Doncaster) between July 4-6, 2008.
The party is set to cater for every kind of gaming enthusiast from experts, who will compete in the Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike Source and Unreal Tournament 3 competitions, to dabblers, who can take part in the free fun online and console games.
There is a great demand for sociable and competitive gaming events, particularly in the North of the UK, and this event is fulfilling that demand, said Neil Armstrong, products director at PlusNet. Weve been involved with LAN parties before, but never as big as this, where we expect over 300 gamers to attend.
PlusNet is a Sheffield-based ISP, who shows its ongoing support for gamers with an optimised broadband package Broadband Your Way Pro. This internet package is designed for serious gamers who require a high quality connection to make the most out of online gaming. PlusNet will be providing broadband for the event.
