Prestige 2002 Broadband Phone Adapter - Setup Guide
This guide will get you started quickly. You can find instructions that are more detailed on the accompanying Setup CD.
Your Starter Pack Should Include
- 1 x Prestige 2002 L Broadband Telephone Adapter
- 1x Power Supply
- 1 x Telephone cable (black)
- 1 x Ethernet cable (red)
- 1x CD Setup Guide
Before you begin, download the adapter config file, using this file will speed up the setup of your new hardware.
Configuration file (PC)
Configuration file (Mac) - compressed in .sat format
Save the file on your system so that you can load it onto the adapter during the installation. Note that the Mac version must be decompressed before it can be used.
Connecting to the Prestige 2002 Setup Screens
1 Temporarily change the network settings of your computer so that you can connect with the Prestige 2002 setup screen.
Make a note of your current settings as you may need to return to these settings once setup is complete. To change your network settings click:
Start > Settings > Network Connections
2 Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click on Properties. Set the IP address to 192.168.5.2, the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway to 192.168.5.1. Select "OK" to apply the changes.
3 Connect your PC's network cable to the port on your Prestige 2002 marked as "PC".
4 Open your browser - type in http://192.168.5.1/ on the address line and press "ENTER". This should bring up the Prestige 2002 setup screen.
5 You will be prompted for a password. The default password is "1234". Change the password to "admin" until after you have completed setup.
Setting up networking on the Prestige 2002
6 Click on "ETHERNET" on the menu and set the same IP range as your ADSL router and home network:
Suggested settings (these apply to most of the Voyager equipment that we supply)
IP: 192.168.1.200
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
7 Reset the Prestige 2002 by switching it off and on again. Then disconnect it from your computer and reconnect it to an Ethernet network port in your router using the supplied Ethernet (red) cable.
8 Reset your PC back to the previous network settings, you can repeat step1. The IP address is usually set as "Obtain an IP Address Automatically", otherwise type in the IP address that was present before you changed them in step2.
9 Return to the setup screen by going to http://192.168.1.200/ (or the IP you assigned in step6 that corresponds with your network)in your browser.
The Prestige 2002 can accept all required setup information on a config file that you can import through the "MAINTENANCE" screen. Click "MAINTENANCE" on the side menu, then click Configuration tab. Under Restore Configuration select "Browse" and locate the downloaded config file.
10 Next, you need to change your PlusTalk or VoIP account settings. Click "VoIP" on the side menu.
Access to your router settings is protected with a username and password. By default the username is Administrator, the password is blank. You can change these later to secure your settings from tampering. Next select "Easy Setup" from the menu.

Registrar Port: 5060
Sip Service Domain: username.plus.com
VoIP Number/SIP URL: Your PlusTalk SIP / VoIP Telephone number
Username: Your PlusTalk Username / VoIP username
Password: Your PlusTalk password / VoIP password
When you have confirmed that the settings are correctly set click "Apply".
11Click on "Settings" under Advanced Settings.
The only section that needs configuring is the Outbound Proxy - Tick the "Active" box and setup as shown:

Server Address: sip.plus.net
Server port: 5060
Next, scroll to the bottom and click "Apply"
Your Prestige 2002 is now ready to connect and start using PlusTalk or VoIP service.
12 To connect, click "MAINTENANCE" on the side menu.
Click "Register" on SIP1, and SIP2 if you are using both phone ports.
