Summary: Upstream speeds for our Value, Unlimited and Pro products
This page should be read in conjunction with How traffic is prioritised on our network & Expected downstream speeds. We believe that our customers should be aware of the broadband speed experience they can expect from our products. Most ISPs manage traffic, but few are prepared to share the details with their customers. This page shows the speeds we aim to deliver for all upstream traffic on Plusnet Value, Pro & Unlimited. Although we can't guarantee these speeds, they accurately reflect what's realistic for us to deliver under normal network conditions. As a rule of thumb, if you do not know what the following applications are, your normal broadband experience will be unaffected by these rate limits. If you're looking for Upstream speed information for our older Broadband products, please see our Broadband Product Archive. Maximum upstream speeds for Plusnet Value, Pro & Unlimited
Line Speed depends on the type of broadband you have. Most customers have Max DSL.
Activities that aren't listed here, such as web surfing or video streaming have no specific restrictions and are prioritised on our network at all times. Any application not using its standard port may not be identified correctly by our traffic management systems. If this happens it will be classified as Other traffic in which case a lower priority could apply. [Top]This page last updated 5th May 2009 |
