Secure Backup - Services Help

Keep all your important files online and private with Secure Backup. Unique to each user in your group, the Secure Backup provides you with password protected online storage for all types of files; ongoing projects; critical business documents; temporary storage between home and office; software backup; personal documents and settings.

Adding files to Secure Backup
If your Secure Backup is empty, you need to create your first directory. Choose to add and then enter your Folder name on the screen that appears. You have the option at this point of defining the Default File Permissions. This allows you to determine who can access files stored in this folder and also whether other members can download or delete and copy over these files. Define permissions by the different Teams within your group.

Once your folder(s) are created, simply click add and enter the file you want to upload. You can either enter the location directly into the File window or click Browse to point and click to the file on your computer.

Sharing or protecting files
With Secure Backup, only you have access to your files so there is no need to add individual file permissions. Access to your secure backup is protected by your unique user password.

Organising files
Create folders to logically organise your files however you choose. There are no limits to the number of folders you create or how many levels of depth you can create.

Deleting files and folders already stored in Secure Backup
Choose the files or folders to delete by checking the checkbox next to each one. Click the Delete button and your files and/or folders will be removed from your Secure Backup.

Storing large files
Storage of files up to 8MB is allowed both in the Secure Backup and Filestore tools, enough to store extremely large files. To compare, a large spreadsheet file is approximately 1MB whilst a 50 page word processing document is just 200kb.

The Secure Backup can be as large as you want it to be. You get 5MB of storage space included with your Services suites, with extra 10MB sections available for just £5 extra per month.
