14/05/2009 @ 15:36 DNS Lookup Problems - NEW & RESOLVED
You may have experienced some browsing problems or issues using other internet services over the last few minutes. This was due to 2 of our DNS addresses experiencing a brief outage.

Our networks team picked up this issue via our monitoring system and have now restored service to the DNS servers.

Sorry about any interruption in service you saw.

This is an update to today's posts about problems customers have been having with their Internet connectivity.

The platform has remained stable since we reverted this morning's network changes and customers are able to browse and connect to the Internet as normal.

We would like to say sorry to those that were inconvenienced by this outage.

This is an update to this morning's post about problems customers have been having with their Internet connectivity. A copy of the original post can be seen here - http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1237450232.htm

Our network engineers have identified a problem with some system changes that were made to some of our webspace servers this morning.

This inadvertently caused DNS, data transfer and connectivity problems for customers.

We have reverted some of these changes whilst we continue to investigate the problem and customers should no longer be having problems with their Internet connections.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

We have started to receive a large number of calls from customers who are experiencing problems accessing websites or other Internet applications.

We are currently investigating these reports and will provide an update as soon as we have further information.
