Comms Factory Limited - Plusnet package guide

The information on this page only applies to customers who are moving to Plusnet from 24Talk, Yourcalls or Your-Team as part of Plusnet's acquisition of those providers from Comms Factory Limited.

When your services are transferred, you'll be moved onto one of the packages detailed on this page. For confirmation of the package you're on, please check the letter sent to you by 24Talk, Yourcalls or Your-Team.

Although Plusnet's package prices and features differ to those offered by 24Talk, Yourcalls and Your-Team, you'll pay the same price or lower for your line rental, call plan and broadband for at least the next 12 months.

Please note, the prices shown for Plusnet residential packages include VAT.

Home Phone pricing

The monthly cost of your home phone package is made up of line rental, your call plan, call charges (where applicable) and call features.

The cost of our call plans and extra features are explained below.

Home phone call plans

We currently offer four call plans, detailed below. Your letter confirms which plan you'll be moved to.

What's a credit limit?

Your credit limit is similar to an overdraft for call charges.

Once a day your Itemised bill will be updated as the calls you make are processed.

The charge for each call will be deducted from your credit limit (up to the maximum allowed for your product) and added to your next bill. At the end of the month you'll be charged the amount that's been deducted from your credit limit at that point. Your credit limit will then reset for the next month.

What's an indirect access number?

An indirect access number is any number which charges a cheaper rate to connect you to another number (that's both known by and could be directly dialled by you).

There are typically two types of these calls:

  1. You first dial an 0870 or 0845 number, and then, while still connected, you dial the intended destination number to be connected.
  2. You are connected directly to the intended destination number by dialling an 0870 or 0845 number, having previously routed the destination number through an 0870 or 0845 number, which can be done via the Internet or by other means.

Home Phone call features

When you move to Plusnet, we'll make sure that you keep the call features you've got with your current provider. This includes call features that are not currently available to Plusnet customers.

Standard Plusnet call features

All Plusnet Phone packages include 1471, 141, Voicemail (1571), Ringback, Reminder Call (15p per use) and Conference Calling as standard.

The features shown below are available to all Plusnet customers. Once you've moved to Plusnet, you'll be able to add or remove them via the Phone Control Panel.

Home Phone call rates

For chargeable calls, a set up fee of 13.87p will apply along with the following pence per minute rates:

  • UK Landlines: 8.41p at all times
  • Non geographical numbers (045 and 0870): 8.41p at all times
  • UK Mobiles: 12p at all times

Plusnet Broadband package details

If you had broadband with 24Talk, Yourcalls or Your-Team, we'll be moving you onto our Plusnet Unlimited broadband package.

The monthly subscription fee will be £9.99 and it includes the following:

  • Unlimited usage allowance with no fair usage policy
  • Unlimited email addresses
  • Plusnet Protect is available for free
  • One .co.uk domain can be registered for use with Plusnet email and webspace for £1 per month
  • A dynamic IP is offered as standard - Plusnet Unlimited customers can switch to a Static IP for a one off fee of £5
  • Spam filtering, email virus protection and our Broadband Firewall are included with all packages

Business Phone pricing

The monthly cost of your business phone package is made up of line rental, your call plan, call charges (where applicable) and call features.

Business Phone call plans

If you currently have a phone package with inclusive calls you'll be moved to Plusnet UK Anytime.

If you don't currently have a phone package with inclusive calls, you'll be moved to Plusnet Business Phone Pay As You Go (PAYG), which means you won't have any included calls and will pay for each call you make.
