Changes to BT Sport from Plusnet FAQs
From 23rd May 2023 BT Sport subscriptions will no longer be available as part of our broadband services. Find out more about these changes what this means for Plusnet customers.
Last year Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and BT Group announced they had reached an agreement to form a joint venture which will eventually merge Eurosport and BT Sport channels.
The new venture means BT Sport subscriptions will no longer be available as part of Plusnet Broadband services. This includes BT Sport, BT Sport app and BT Sport over Sky.
If you have BT Sport, BT Sport over Sky, or BT Sport app with Plusnet, they will be available up until 5th July 2023. After this date, we’ll remove your BT Sport subscription from your Plusnet account.
Your Plusnet broadband service will be unaffected by this change.
Don’t worry, you can still get a great deal at the BT Sport website and catch all the action with a BT Sport monthly pass.
If you’ve paid for a BT Sport subscription beyond the removal date of 5th July 2023, we’ll ensure you are paid a refund. No need to get in touch, your refund will automatically be applied to your next bill.
To cancel you'll need to call us on 0800 432 0200 or 0345 140 0200 no later than 2 days before your next billing date. Otherwise, you will be charged for the following month.
BT Sport subscriptions are offered as 30 day rolling monthly contract, so can be removed without affecting your other contracted services.
Your Plusnet broadband service is unaffected by this change. If you’re thinking of cancelling before your broadband contract’s up, you may need to pay a cancellation fee. Find out more about our Early Termination Charges.
