Prestige 2002 Broadband Phone Adapter - Setup Guide

Connecting to the Prestige 2002 Setup Screens

Please make sure you have connected the equipment correctly before adding the settings. This screenshot will help you:

Follow the diagram above by adding your PC into port1, router into port2, 2002L line cable from your socket to port3, your telephones to port4. Finally make sure the power is connected into port5.

1.Change the network settings of your computer so that you can connect with the Prestige 2002 setup screen. Make a note of your current settings, as you need to return to these settings later. To change your network settings click:

Start > Settings > Network Connections.

2. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click on Properties. Set the following:

  • The IP Address to 192.168.5.3
  • The Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0
  • The Default Gateway to 192.168.5.1
  • Leave the DNS information blank

3. Click OK to apply the changes.

4.To check the Prestige's IP address:

  • Pick up your phone's receiver.
  • Press '****' on your phone's keypad and wait for the message that you are in the configuration settings menu.
  • Press '5' followed by the key.
  • Listen to the IP address and make a note of it as this should be the same as the IP address entered in the Internet Protocol Properties.
  • Put down your phone's receiver.

5. Open your browser. Type in http://192.168.5.1 on the address line and click Enter. This should bring up the Prestige 2002 setup screen.

6. You will be asked for a password. The default password is 1234. Change this password to admin until you have finished the setup.

7.To set up networking on the Prestige 2002:

Click on Ethernet on the menu and set the same IP range as your router and home network. Suggested settings:

  • IP Address: 192.168.1.200
  • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
  • Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
  • Leave the Primary and Secondary DNS blank then click Apply

8.Return to the setup screen by going to http://192.168.1.200/ (or the IP you assigned in Step 8) in your browser.

9.Now change your Broadband Phone or VoIP account settings. Click VoIP on the side menu.

  • SIP Number: Your Broadband Phone account number (6 digit number)
  • Local Port: 5060
  • SIP Server Address: sip.plus.net
  • SIP Port: 5060
  • Register Server Address: sip.plus.net
  • Register Server Port: 5060
  • SIP Service Domain: sip.plus.net

Authentication

  • Authentication User-ID: Your Broadband Phone account number (6 digit number)
  • Authentication Password: Your Broadband Phone password/VoIP password

10. Click on Settings under Advanced Settings.

The only section that needs configuring is the Outbound Proxy - tick the Active box and setup the Server Address and Server Port as shown below

  • Server Address: sip.plus.net
  • Server Port: 5060

Next, scroll to the bottom and click Apply. The account should register when these settings are applied. If the PWR/VoIP indicator is coloured amber then the SIP account is activated. If the PWR/VoIP indicator is still green, go to Step 11.

Your Prestige 2002 is now ready to connect and start using Broadband Phone or VoIP service.

11.To connect or disconnect, click Maintenance on the side menu. Click Register on SIP1 and SIP2 if you are using both phone ports. When registered the PWR/VoIP indicator is amber, when disconnected from the SIP service, the same indicator will be green.
