Summary: Guide to resetting Voyager 2091 wireless router.
The Voyager 2091 wireless router automatically attempts to connect. This can
make it difficult to change username and password, should you have made a mistake,
or need to use a test login while investigating a connection fault.
This guide shows you how to reset your broadband username and password in the Voyager 2091, and change the connection options, if required.
This guide shows you how to reset your broadband username and password in the Voyager 2091, and change the connection options, if required.
- Open your browser and type in the Voyager 2091's Configuration Manager address
- http://voyager.home/
If the screen does not load, make sure your router is switched on and connected. - Click on Advanced... on the left-hand menu. You may be prompted to provide an admin login name and password. These are 'admin' and 'admin' by default.
- Click on Quick Setup. This will run you through all the connection settings
of your router.
All the settings should automatically be correct for UK broadband, however you can compare with the settings described below to confirm they are correct. - On the Quick Setup - Configure ATM PVC screen, check that VPI is set at 0 and VCI is 38 . Click Next.
- On the Quick Setup - Configure Connection Type, make sure the Protocol is set to PPP over ATM (PPPoA). Check that the Encapsulation Type is VC MUX. Click Next.
- On the Configure WAN IP Settings page, make sure that you are set to 'Obtain an IP address automatically'. Ensure that NAT is enabled, and that your MTU settings are set to the default 1400. Read more about MTU settings in our Guide to RWIN and MTU. Click Next.
- On the Configure Broadband User Name and Password screen, type in your own
details.
Remember, your Broadband Use Name is more than the username that you selected when you signed up. It takes the form username@plusdsl.net
You can select how your router connects to the Internet -
Always on - your router will immediately reconnect whenever it detects that the connection has dropped.
Dial on Demand - your router will connect whenever it detects that you are trying to use the Internet. For example, if you try to use your email while disconnected, the router will try to connect you.
Manually Connect - In order to connect to the Internet, you must manually click Connect on the Quick Start screen. If you are planning to use the BT test login, we recommend that you select this option as it will allow you to change your username and password without going into the Advanced Settings.
Once you have selected, click Next. - On the Configure LAN side Settings page, ensure that your network settings
are populated
You shouldn't need to change anything, just click Next. - On the Summary screen you can once more verify settings, and then click Finish.
- The router will now save your new settings and restart. This may take about a minute. You should be able to reload your router Configuration Manager once the router's power light goes from red to green.
- You should now be able to change your username and password. You can repeat
this process and select a different option for how your router connects.
