5. Using 0808 dial-up numbers
All dial-up numbers starting with '0808' are free to call. If you're a broadband customer you'll automatically be given an 0808 dial-up number if you ever raise a fault using the Broadband Fault Checker. This lets you to still get online whilst your broadband service is being checked for problems. Once your fault has been fixed the 0808 number will be removed and you can use your broadband as normal. 6. CLI and CLIP settings for all users (including ISDN and ex-directory)
Anytime and Connect account customers can connect from up to 5 designated BT telephone numbers.
Simply add any additional Caller Line Identification numbers (telephone numbers) to My CLI Numbers. You can find this in the Connection Settings section from the left-hand menu in the Member Centre.
Ex-directory and 'number withheld' service-enabled users need to add '1470' in front of the telephone number.
ISDN users with an Anytime or Connect account require CLIP (Called Line Identification Protocol) to be enabled on their line before they can connect to PlusNet. This will tell BT where to route the call to.
CLIP can be enabled by calling BT on 150 (152 for users with a BT business line). [Top]

Connecting from abroad
If you want to connect whenever you're abroad on holiday or business, you should use one of the two PlusNet lo-call rate 'roaming' numbers shown below. These numbers will work in most of Europe and the USA.
Remember: You should drop the '0' and add the international dialing code +(44) to the beginning of the number before connect.
Residential roaming number: 0845 1422000
Business roaming number: 0845 1400106
You can also use these roaming numbers if you're not abroad - e.g.
If you're away from your regular Internet connection point (i.e your home or office).
If you're experiencing temporary connection problems .
1. Connecting a portable device through a mobile phone
If you've got a data-enabled mobile phone and suitable hardware (e.g. a laptop), you can get online anywhere your mobile finds a signal.
Mobile access number: 0845 1400106
This number is available to all PlusNet customers. Calls to this number are charged at BT's lo-call rate and will vary according to your mobile network provider's tariff. Mobile calls are not included in the unmetered provision of Anytime, Connect or broadband accounts.
Please note: Because mobile phone data transfer speeds are slower than access using a computer this service is only suitable for accessing small emails and browsing. You should check your mobile phone and other hardware manuals for model-specific details.
