Tools
Keywords: tools | my | circular Summary: With this simple mailing list tool you can keep your family and friends up to date with all your latest news.

What is My Circular?

My Circular allows you to set up mailing lists and send emails out to the people on your list quickly and easily. You can add people to your mailing list either directly through My Circular, from your Address Book or visitors can add themselves on your website using the form we provide.

You can have up to 10 mailing lists with a maximum of 100 contacts per list.

Access My Circular by going to the Member Centre and clicking the link on the left-hand menu, or alternatively click this link.

Note: My Circular is available to residential customers and those using Teleworker products. Business customers get a similar but more powerful application called NetAnnounce.

Setting Up Your First Mailing List

Follow these instructions to set up your first mailing list:

1. Click Create New List.
2. Enter the name of your new mailing list (maximum 50 characters).
3. Enter your administration address for the mailing list - this is the address that those receiving your emails will reply to.
4. Click Add to create your new mailing list. You'll then be taken to the List Manager where you'll be able to see your new list.

List Manager Features
The date of creation is recorded next to each mailing list name. There are two columns next to this - the first shows the number of subscribers to that list and the second shows the number of emails sent out.

Changing Mailing Lists
To change the name of a mailing list or its return email address, click the Change button in the Configure column of the List Manager screen. Edit whatever you need to then click Update to commit your changes.

Adding and Removing Contacts
This screen is split into two.

The top half of the screen shows current members of your mailing list. The bottom half shows addresses from your mailing list 'pool' of non-list members (will be blank if you haven't subscribed any list members). You can add addresses to your 'unsubscribed' pool yourself, using the Contact Manager.

To assign someone from your My Circular pool to your selected mailing list, click on the relevant Add button. The contact will move into the Current list members area.

There are no limits on how many mailing lists a single user may be subscribed to.

When you create a new mailing list, contacts become available within the My Circular 'pool'. If people sign up through your website, their address details will appear in the 'current list members' area for that list.

Click Remove to remove someone from your mailing list (they will return to the unassigned pool of My Circular addresses).

When you've finished administering your mailing list, you can return to the List Manager by clicking the List Manager tab.

Deleting lists
You can remove any mailing list by clicking Delete. It will immediately disappear from the List Manager screen.

Restoring deleted lists
To restore a deleted mailing list, click Undelete on the List Manager screen.

You'll then be able to see your deleted lists and you can click the Rebuild trashcan icon. Your list will then be moved back to the List Manager screen, with the prefix 'recycled_' added to its name. You can rename it by clicking Change.

History
Clicking History opens the List Reporter screen. This gives you complete histories of your mailing lists, letting you see what email has been sent to each mailing list member.

Contact Manager
Use the Contact Manager to add and remove members from your mailing list or administrate list members who have added themselves to your list on your website. Contact Manager lets you see when someone was added to your mailing list, how many emails they have received in total and how many of your lists they're subscribed to.
