  1. Who do I pay line rental to?

    If you take Plusnet Business Phone, you'll pay us for your line rental and calls, instead of your current phone provider. We'll also include broadband charges on your monthly invoice. This keeps everything on one bill.

    Line rental costs from £10.50 a month.

    (Note: if you have your line rental with another provider you'll continue to pay them instead of Plusnet).

  2. Can I keep my current phone number?

    Whenever possible we'll try and keep your current phone number. However, in some cases we can't transfer numbers. If you can't keep your number we'll let you know before you switch to us.

  3. Do I need an existing landline to signup for a Plusnet package?

    No. If you don't already have a line we can install one for you. Depending on the work required, we may need to book an engineer to install the service for you. We'll confirm this when you signup.

  4. When will my service go live?

    We'll tell you an expected activation date when you're ordering a service. This shouldn't take any longer than 2-3 weeks. Exact times depend on where your broadband and phone line are being transferred from, or if we need to install a new phone line.

  5. Will I stay online until I'm connected?

    Yes, you'll still be able to do all the things you normally do online whilst we switch your broadband and phone over to Plusnet.

  6. Can I add more call features?

    Yes. Voicemail comes as standard with our service, but you can also add other call features to suit your needs. Some are free, others have a monthly charge. We'll ask you if you want to add more call features when you join.

  7. What call features are available?

    All packages include the following call features as standard:

    1471, 141, Voicemail (1571), Ringback (10p per use), Reminder call (15p per use) and Conference calling (40p per use).

  8. Do I get any included/free calls?

    All plans include calls to other Plusnet phone customers and our Business Support Team at all times of the day.

    Our UK Anytime plan includes unlimited calls to UK landline numbers starting 01, 02 and 03, 0845 and 0870 (some exceptions apply).

    In addition to the above, our UK mobile and International plans also include:

    UK, Mobile and International 500

    500 inclusive minutes to UK mobiles, US mobiles and landline numbers in our top 20 international destinations.

    UK, Mobile and International 1000

    1000 inclusive minutes to UK mobiles, US mobiles and landline numbers in our top 20 international destinations.

    Note: Inclusive calls become chargeable after 60 minutes, redial to avoid call charges. For more information, please see our Business Phone Tariffs.

  9. I'm already a broadband customer, can I add Business Phone?

    Yes, you can. Just log into the Member Centre and click the Product Change link.
