What mobile plans can I get?
Here are the different 30 day SIM-Only plans we offer. If it’s just mobile you’re after, take a look at the first table. If you’ve got broadband with us already, or want to move your broadband or home phone to us, skip to the second table.

These prices apply if you signed up, upgraded or changed plans on or after 29 November 2016. If haven’t changed plan or upgraded since then, please see our previous charges.
The length of each call you make is rounded up to the next whole second (the minimum length is one second).
We’ll take a minute off your call allowance for calls of up to minute in length. Then we’ll take off a second for every extra second you spend on that call.
If your call’s longer than the number of minutes you’ve got left in your allowance, we’ll round up the bit of the call that’s outside your allowance to the next whole second and we’ll charge you an extra amount for that bit.
Data usage is measured in Kilobytes (KB). Texts are calculated per message sent up to 160 character limit. If you send a longer message, two or more text messages as appropriate will be deducted from your allowance.
What's included in my plan allowance?
Your allowance includes:
- calls to any UK mobile, UK landline and national numbers beginning 01, 02 and 03
- standard texts to any UK mobile
- mobile data within the UK
- calls to numbers beginning 0800, 0808, 03, which are free of charge
- calls to your Plusnet Mobile voicemail made when in the UK.
There are additional charges for calls and texts to other numbers in the UK and to all numbers outside the UK (including to the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) and sending media messages, which may include messages containing emoticons. We’ve detailed these further down.

How much do things like calls, texts and data cost individually?
Here’s what our mobile services cost individually. So, if these services aren’t included in your plan, or you go over the amount included, this is what you’ll pay.

- (1) Price per minute. We’ll charge you a minimum of one minute, then for each minute you use after that.
- (2) Price per message. Standard texts have a 160 character limit.
- (3) Price per day. This is only for when you’ve used all the data in your plan. There’s also a cap of 250MB a day. Keep going over your data allowance? Why not choose a plan with more data, or buy a data bolt-on by giving us a call?
- (4) Call forwarding services aren’t included in your minutes because we don’t count them as a standard UK landline call. You can see the full list of call forwarding service numbers for details.
- (5) We charge for calls either per minute (and billed by the second) or per call as advised by the service provider.

How much does it cost to make an international call or to use my phone abroad?
Here's where you'll find details of our international call charge and how much it'll cost to use your phone abroad.
Can I check how many minutes, texts and data I've used?
Yes, you can check everything you’ve been using by logging into your Plusnet Mobile account.
What if I use all my minutes, texts or data before the end of the month?
If that happens, a bolt-on might be what you need.
With a bolt-on, you buy the number of minutes, texts or data that you want to use for the rest of the month up front. Then it lasts until the start of your next month.

What are bolt-ons and how do I buy one?
Had a busy month? If you need a top up to last you until your plan refreshes, why not buy a bolt-on? To buy one, just give us a ring or text the SMS code below to 07419 171717.

A bolt-on will only include the same types of usage that are included in your plan allowance, so when you buy a bolt-on, you'll only be able to use it for the same types of things that are included in your plan allowance. These are:
- a minutes bolt-on: only includes calls to any UK mobile, UK landlines and national numbers beginning 01, 02 and 03
- a text bolt-on: only includes standard texts to any UK mobile
- a data bolt-on: only includes mobile data used within the UK.
There are additional charges for calls and texts to other numbers in the UK and to all numbers outside the UK (including to the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) and sending media messages. We've detailed these above.

Can I use my Plusnet Mobile for tethering and how much does it cost?
Tethering is when you use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot and use it to connect other devices to the internet. You'll need to check with your handset's manufacturer to see if you can do that on your phone.
Remember, the data you use while tethering will count towards your data allowance. And if you use all your allowance you'll need to pay for the extra amount you've used on top of your usual plan. Here's where you can find out how much data costs outside your plan.
What if I cancel during my minimum term?
If your agreement includes a minimum term, you'll need to pay an in-contract cancellation charge (sometimes called early termination charges) if you or we end your agreement during this time.
The in-contract cancellation charge will be your monthly plan price multiplied by the number of months left of your minimum term.
You won't need to pay in-contract cancellation charges if you've got a rolling, monthly SIM-Only plan.
These in-contract cancellation charges are not subject to VAT.
What charges apply if I damage my mobile phone?
If you need to return your phone to us, you might need to pay a charge if you:
- don't return the phone
- return a damaged phone
- forget to send back the accessories (or return damaged accessories).
Here's where you can see a list of our common charges. But bear in mind this won't be a completely full list because the models of mobile phones we supply and the cost of repairs changes all the time. And we also can't cover all possible types of repair.
Will there be any other charges?
If you miss a payment, you might need to pay a £10 late payment charge. For more information on that, take a look at our Mobile Failed Payment Guide.
If you'd like a paper copy of your bill, you'll need to pay £10 for each bill you request.
If you want to upgrade the mobile phone we provide during your minimum term or if you want to move to a monthly SIM-Only plan from a plan with a minimum term before the end of that minimum term, you may have to pay an early upgrade fee.
The early upgrade fee will be your monthly plan price multiplied by the number of months left of your minimum term.
What else do I need to know about these charges?
All charges in this price guide include VAT (based on the current standard Government rate) unless we've said otherwise.
If you've got a handset plan, or a minimum term SIM-Only plan, your plan price may go up each March in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI) percentage figure published by the Office of National Statistics. There's more information about that in our RPI Guide.
We might also change our other charges or make other changes to your plan price. We'll tell you about important changes before they happen. And if a change is detrimental to you, you'll be able to end your contract without having to pay anything extra.
