    Full Fibre is the next generation ultrafast broadband, which uses a dedicated connection straight to your home. It combines cutting-edge fibre-optic technology to deliver 500Mb download speeds and even greater upload speeds in comparison to traditional broadband. It’s so new it’s not available everywhere just yet. Check if you can get Full Fibre.

    If you don’t have a Full Fibre connection we’ll arrange an Openreach engineer to visit your home to get one set up.

    We’ll need to install two Full Fibre boxes, one inside and the other outside your home. The small box we’ll fit in your home is an Openreach box called an ONT (Optical Network Terminal). This box needs to be close to your router and they’ll both need to be near a plug socket.

    To connect the Full Fibre boxes and cables we’ll need to drill through your wall from the outside of your property. Someone over the age of 18 will need to be at home on the day we activate your service.

    It usually takes a couple of hours to get you set up and the engineer will finish up by testing your connection using one of your preferred devices. That’s it. You’ll be good to go and can start enjoying your game-changing, reliable, ultrafast Full Fibre.

    FTTP stands for Fibre ToThe Premises. It uses fibre cables all the way into your home. This means it can deliver ultrafast broadband speeds up to 900Mb, and makes it the UK’s most reliable broadband technology too.

    FTTP isn’t available everywhere yet, but it’s being installed up and down the UK. Our FTTP broadband is called Full Fibre.

    FTTC stands for fibre to the cabinet. Also known as fibre broadband or part fibre. It uses fibre cables to the cabinet on your street, then copper cables to your home. FTTC broadband isn’t as fast as FTTP, but you can still get superfast speeds up to around 66Mb.

    Full Fibre isn’t available everywhere yet. We’re working as fast as we can to roll this out across the UK.

    Full Fibre uses the latest technology, so you might think it could be expensive. Not here at Plusnet. We’ll always offer no-nonsense great value deals on all our 18 and 24 month Full Fibre contracts. Think of it as Full Fibre straight to your home at straight talking prices.     If Full Fibre’s not reached you just yet we’ll show you which fantastic deals and packages you can get. When it’s available we’ll let you know and you can upgrade at any time.

    Plusnet Full Fibre is a broadband only package, so you don’t need a phone line. This means you can save on line rental.

    When you sign up you’ll just need to let us know what you want to do with your phone line. If you don’t want to keep it then we’ll take care of everything and disconnect your phone when you switch to us. This will mean you’ll lose your landline number and any services or alarms connected to your phone will also stop working. You may need to speak to your service provider about these.

    If you want to keep your home phone line you’ll need to arrange this with your current landline provider. Your phone service will be completely separate from your Plusnet Full Fibre package.

    If you’ve already got a Full Fibre connection, we can activate your service remotely. We can usually get you set up in 3 working days and we’ll confirm this once you’ve signed up.

    If we need to install a new Full Fibre connection, you’ll need an engineer to visit your premises to get your service set up and activated. This usually takes 3-10 working days. We’ll take care of everything and always aim to get you set up as quickly as we can.

    If you’re with Virgin or a cable provider you’ll need to let them know you’re switching to us.

    Sometimes an Openreach engineer may need to run a few checks or survey your property to see if there’s any additional work required to get your connection set up.

    We’ll let you know if they need to do any checks as part of your order. Once these are finished we’ll be in touch to confirm your installation date.

    All our Full Fibre packages are unlimited. This means you can use the internet as much as you like without any limits to how much data you download or upload each month. That’ll do.

    ** Up to 13x faster than standard fibre broadband: when compared to average download speeds on our standard Unlimited Fibre with average download speeds of 36Mb/s.

    Openreach Survey: In some cases Openreach have to carry out a survey before they can connect a home to Full Fibre. To do this they may need access to your property. If they do we'll contact you to arrange a suitable time. If additional work is required, this may take longer than the initial set-up time provided and there could be additional costs. Our team of specialists will contact you to confirm what additional work is needed and how long this will take, usually within four weeks from the date your order was placed. If you don't want to proceed with your upgrade based on this, you will be able to cancel your order and no charges will be applied to your account. 

    Unlimited Broadband (no contract)

    For new Plusnet customers that sign up for a 30-day rolling contract. Line rental is included in the price (line only, no calls included).     300 Anytime minutes: (Anytime International 300) Means 300 inclusive minutes to USA mobiles, Canada mobiles and all landlines listed in our top 35 international destinations. Hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes and you won't be charged.

    Other call information:

    Mobile minutes: Are available to Line Only and the Anytime International 300 call plan and adds 100 inclusive minutes to UK mobile numbers and 070 personal numbering services at any time. Hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes and you won't be charged. Some 07 numbers do not constitute mobile numbers and may not be included as part of an inclusive mobile package.

    Service calls outside of your inclusive minutes: The charge for calls to service numbers beginning 084, 087, 09 and 118 consists of a 9.58p per minute access charge from Plusnet, plus a service charge set by the company you called. For more information visit www.plus.net/ukcalling.

    Calls to Plusnet Support and other Plusnet line rental customers are included in all line rental packages. Calls to other Plusnet phone customers are included for the first hour. Hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes and you won't be charged.

    Phone Line Extras

    Voicemail

    1571 Voicemail: Included as standard, our answer phone-style feature takes messages when you can't get to the phone.

    Voicemail Extra: This advanced voicemail service lets you record your own greeting, store up to 30 messages and listen to them when you're not at home. Voicemail Extra costs £3 a month. Further information about Voicemail Extra can be found here.

    Caller Display

    See the number of the person who is calling you (you'll need a phone that supports this service). Further information about Caller Display can be found here. Subject to availability.

    Plusnet Call Protect

    Included in all line rental packages, this blocks nuisance calls on your landline and sends them straight into your junk voicemail. Further information about Plusnet Call Protect can be found here. Subject to availability.

    BT Sport from Plusnet on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform

    BT Sport is available to existing UK Plusnet residential broadband customers with a Sky satellite receiver box, a satellite dish installed and an active viewing card. No access to any online content is made available by BT via www.btsport.com or via the BT Sport App. Excludes Multi-room. BoxNation available in SD only. There is a minimum term of one month starting from your next billing date following sign up.

    † BT Sport HD requires a Sky HD satellite receiver box, HD cabling and an HD-ready television to view the HD channels.

    You don't need a Sky viewing card to order, but if you already have one you'll need to give us the viewing card number.

    BT Sport App from Plusnet

    BT Sport App from Plusnet is available to existing UK Plusnet residential broadband customers. There is a minimum one month term starting from your next billing date following sign-up. Monthly rolling contract.

    You can access BT Sport online or via the BT Sport App in the UK and in over 25 European destinations. Requires minimum 400Kbps line speed or good Wi-Fi/3G/4G signal and a compatible device.
