    Schools in England, Wales and Scotland can now apply directly to BT for free Wi-Fi voucher codes to help children get online at home and stay connected to their teachers and classmates.

    The codes give access to BT's Wi-Fi network and allow up to three devices at a time to get online for free, until the end of December 2021.

    Applications for the BT Wi-Fi codes can only be made by schools and they'll be responsible for handing out the codes to those pupils who are eligible. You'll find all the details of how schools can apply at BT Wi-Fi codes.

    It's OK. Our current broadband packages come with unlimited usage, so being online more isn't a problem. If you've got one of our older broadband plans with capped usage, we'll make sure you don't get charged for any additional data usage during this time.

    Don't worry, any email or SMS you'll have received to alert you is automated. We'll make sure you don't get charged any extra during this time.

    Yes, we're working hard to get all new connections up and running as soon as we can. If you don't need a new phone line installing, then there should be no delays.

    If you do need a new phone line which requires an engineer visit, you can choose an installation appointment date when you place your order.

    Please bear in mind that the appointment calendar is provided by our partners at Openreach. This will only show the dates which they have available. Unfortunately, we're unable to help you book a date if it's not showing.

    There's a good range of appointments dates to choose from at the moment.

    A large amount of work can be completed outside without an engineer having to go into your property. If an engineer does need to enter your home or premises, they'll do all they can to safeguard their visit and to follow social distancing guidelines.

    To keep you and them safe, there's a couple of steps which will take place.

    Before the visit:

    Openreach will send you a text message which will include a short video with three simple steps to follow before they visit. You'll need to respond to the text to agree to the guidance. If you don't respond, the engineer will try to contact you to run through the guidance.

    On the day of the visit

    The Openreach engineer will contact you to ask some screening questions to help them understand if there's been any changes since you booked your appointment.

    We're sorry to hear that. Please give us a call, and we'll do everything we can to sort a new installation date for you as soon as we can.

    Our call centres are busy at the moment, so it may take a little longer than usual to get through.

    Before you contact us at this really busy time, please run some checks using our broadband troubleshooter first.

    If you do need an engineer to fix the fault we'll do everything we can to get you connected.

    A large amount of engineering work can be completed from outside your home, without needing to enter your property. Where this isn't possible, we'll get you connected as soon as possible.

    That's OK. To cancel your move it would really help us if you could give us as much notice as possible. Ideally at least two working days'. All you need to do is just give us a call. Bear in mind that our call centre will be busy, so you might need to wait longer than usual to speak to us.

    * The price for broadband, line rental, call plans and call charges will be increased each March from 2022 by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published by the Office for National Statistics in January of that year plus 3.9%.     Line rental is included in all our broadband packages. The standard line rental price is £21.22 a month, except where you sign up to Unlimited Broadband on an 18 month contract, the standard line rental price is £19.99 a month for the first 18 months, then £21.22 a month (line only, no calls included). The standard line rental price, or where applicable the discounted line rental price, is included in the package price.

    Unlimited Fibre Extra (12 and 18 month contracts)

    For new Plusnet customers that sign up for 12 or 18 months (as appropriate). Line rental is included in the price (line only, no calls included).     Mobile minutes: Are available to Line Only and the Anytime International 300 call plan and adds 100 inclusive minutes to UK mobile numbers and 070 personal numbering services at any time.     Phone Line Extras

    Voicemail

    1571 Voicemail: Included as standard, our answer phone-style feature takes messages when you can't get to the phone.

    Voicemail Extra: This advanced voicemail service lets you record your own greeting, store up to 30 messages and listen to them when you're not at home. Voicemail Extra costs £3 a month. Further information about Voicemail Extra can be found here.

    Caller Display

    See the number of the person who is calling you (you'll need a phone that supports this service). Further information about Caller Display can be found here. Subject to availability.

    Plusnet Call Protect

    Included in all line rental packages, this blocks nuisance calls on your landline and sends them straight into your junk voicemail. Further information about Plusnet Call Protect can be found here. Subject to availability.

    BT Sport from Plusnet on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform

    BT Sport is available to existing UK Plusnet residential broadband customers with a Sky satellite receiver box, a satellite dish installed and an active viewing card. No access to any online content is made available by BT via www.btsport.com or via the BT Sport App. Excludes Multi-room. BoxNation available in SD only. There is a minimum term of one month starting from your next billing date following sign up.

    † BT Sport HD requires a Sky HD satellite receiver box, HD cabling and an HD-ready television to view the HD channels.

    You don't need a Sky viewing card to order, but if you already have one you'll need to give us the viewing card number.

    BT Sport App from Plusnet

    BT Sport App from Plusnet is available to existing UK Plusnet residential broadband customers. There is a minimum one month term starting from your next billing date following sign-up. Monthly rolling contract.

    You can access BT Sport online or via the BT Sport App in the UK and in over 25 European destinations. Requires minimum 400Kbps line speed or good Wi-Fi/3G/4G signal and a compatible device.
