BT Sport App from Plusnet

Adding the BT Sport App from Plusnet

Removing the BT Sport App from Plusnet

Once you have added the BT Sport App from Plusnet to your account, we will send you an email in order to create a BT ID (or you can use your existing BT ID) – this is required to log into the BT Sport App or the online player.

You will need your Plusnet username and postcode to set up you BT ID. The username is the same username you would use to log into the member centre, or we would ask you for if you were to call us. The postcode required is the postcode of the address you have your Plusnet broadband service. If you cannot find the email you can set up your BT ID here.

Follow the instructions to register your BT ID, then enter these details when you log into the app. It can take up to 24 hours for your BT ID to be activated.

Once you have registered your BT ID, you can download and install the app from the relevant app store on your mobile or tablet, just search for "BT Sport". Alternatively you can use the following links

The BT Sport App works on Apple devices running iOS8 or later, Android devices running OS4.3 or later and Windows devices running Windows 10.

Once downloaded, the BT Sport App is ready to use. You'll just need to enter your BT ID details when asked.

You need to have Location services switched on or enabled, as the app only works if you're in the UK. This is usually found in the Settings area on your device.

Your BT Sport App from Plusnet service also allows you to watch content on the BT Sport website. Once you have created your BT ID, go to and enter your log in details to begin watching.

To watch content via the BT Sport App from Plusnet service you need a stable internet connection, whether that is over Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection. The BT Sport App and require a minimum speed of 0.4mbps in order to work correctly, and a speed of 3.5Mbps for high quality playback.
