What channels will I get with the HD channel pack?
Where available, the HD channel pack provides HD versions of the channels available in other channel packs. What you'll get depends on which channel packs you've taken alongside it.
e.g.
- If you add HD on its own, you'll get BT Sport 1 and the Entertainment channels in HD
- To get BT Sport 2 or BT Sport 3 you'd also need to add the BT Sport channel pack to your account
Please note, not all channels are available in HD, go to our full list of HD channels to find out what's available at the moment.
-
Which players are available?
There are a number of free (e.g. BBC iPlayer and All 4) and pay on demand players (e.g. NOW TV, Netflix*) available on the YouView platform. Note you'll need a separate subscription to view pay on demand players, please contact the relevant supplier to arrange this.
For the latest list of what's available, please see http://www.youview.com/whats-on/
-
What Freeview channels are available?
The channels available vary by area and may also be affected by the quality of your reception and TV aerial. To check what's available in your area, please see http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker
-
What do I need to get YouView TV from Plusnet?
To take YouView TV from Plusnet and access channels included in our channel packs, you need to be on Plusnet Fibre Unlimited or Plusnet Fibre Unlimited Extra with a minimum estimated line speed of 15Mb, and be a Plusnet line rental customer.
To receive Freeview channels you'll need a compatible Freeview aerial installed in your home. To check what Freeview channels are available in your area, please see - http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker
You'll need a HDMI cable, which we'll supply to connect your set top box to your TV. To view HD content, you must connect your set top box to a HD Ready television with an HDMI cable.

How long does it take to get YouView TV from Plusnet?
Once you've ordered the service, we'll dispatch your set top box (and powerline adapters if taken) via Parcelforce on the following working day.
Your order should arrive in 1-3 working days. You'll need to sign for the delivery, otherwise the package will be left for collection at your nearest local post office. If you order a router, it'll be sent separately via Royal Mail and should arrive in 3-5 working days.
Once your equipment has arrived, you should be able to set it up and start watching straight away.
-
I’ve already got a YouView set top box, can I use it with YouView TV from Plusnet?
No, you can only use a set top box supplied by Plusnet.
-
Why do I need to use a Plusnet router?
Our router is fully compatible with the YouView TV from Plusnet service. You'll be able to use it as soon as it arrives at your home. Other routers may work, but we can't offer any support with setup, or if you have problems.
-
Why would I need Powerline adapters?
Your YouView set top box needs to be connected to your router via an Ethernet cable. Our set top boxes include a 10m Ethernet cable as standard. However, if that's not long enough (on average, 6m of cable is required to go around a standard size door frame), you'll either need to find a longer cable or we can supply a pair of Powerline adapters for £40.00 (P&P £6.99, if you order the powerline adapters separately, otherwise this will be covered by the P&P for your set top box).
Powerline adapters allow you to turn the electrical wiring in your home into a computer network. Any socket you connect a powerline adapter to will act as a new network point, providing connectivity to any other powerline adapter that's connected in your home.
Please note, powerline adapters are subject to the quality of the internal wiring within your home; and, as a result, speeds may vary and cannot be guaranteed.
-
Can I change my channel packs after signing up?
Yes, you can make changes to your channel packs once your YouView TV from Plusnet service is active.
All you need to do is go to My Channel Packs and choose the packs you want.
If you add a channel pack, you'll be able to start watching within 24 hours (so order in plenty of time if you're planning on watching the big match!)
If you remove a channel pack, it'll be available until your next billing date.
Please note, once you've added a channel pack it must be kept for a minimum 1 month term.

How do I renew my YouView contract?
From 7th February 2021 you can no longer renew your Youview TV with Plusnet. If you have a TV subscription as part of your current service and you'd like to renew your fibre broadband contract with us (and we really hope you do) please call us on 0800 432 0200.
We'll need to remove TV from your plan and we can then arrange a new package for you.
If you choose not to renew your broadband package you'll move to an out of contract price. Your TV subscription will continue as part of your plan for now. We'll be in touch to let you know when we'll be making changes to your TV service.
